Omega Dairy Energy Research Facility

It’s not every day the environmentalists and leaders of industrial agriculture get together to create solutions to global problems. That’s why Tierra Lucero is excited to be partnering with the Omega Energy team on a unique grassroots energy project in Dalhart, Texas.

Omega will connect renewable energy technologies that have previously been used independently, modeling and testing community-scaled waste-to-energy systems that:description

• Capture greenhouse gases
• Create electricity
• Grow algae for biofuel and related products.
• Produce high quality compost and inoculants for natural soil fertility

Sharing Knowledge for the Future
We believe that vital answers to our energy future should not be kept secret. Unlike most other research facilities, Omega will not hide its results from the public. We will share them through:

• A website
• Facility tours
• Educational programs
• Development projects in underdeveloped areas; national and international

Initial Components of the Research Facility
Dairy manure bio-digesters
• Methane powered electric generation
• Manure lagoon biological purification system
• Compost equipment and methods
• Algae bio-reactors
• Algae cake processing
• Algae bio-fuel processing
• Wind turbines
