Supports WIC and Seniors Program and SNAP

During the 2010 Taos Farmers Sunday Market, Thanksgiving Farms launched a matching program that doubled the value of each WIC or Senior coupon presented at our booth. Shoppers exchanged WIC coupons for produce and our farm issued them a "Fooderal Reserve" coupon that could be used to purchase fresh produce from other vendors at that day's market.

These "2-for-1" coupons encourage shoppers to buy produce from their local farmers first, which builds our local economy and makes healthier food accessible to more families. Not to mention the variety! Our local Taos WIC office may even see increased funding from the State, as more people are encouraged to use coupons locally.
